Standard Mortgage is proud to announce the addition of Cody Collins as Vice President, Loan Officer in the company’s Dallas office. With over 13 years of business leadership experience and a relationship-driven approach to mortgage lending, Collins brings a dynamic blend of innovation and customer-first service to the growing Texas market.
A Dallas native and graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Collins began his career at Softlayer Technologies, the first cloud computing company introduced to the market. His leadership in building an international client base and customer service team contributed to Softlayer’s acquisition by IBM, where he went on to serve as Director of North America Sales & Account Management for five years.
In 2020, Collins made a bold career shift into the mortgage industry, driven by his passion for connecting with people and helping families achieve their homeownership goals. Over the past six years, he has earned recognition as a D Magazine “D Best” Mortgage Professional every year since 2022 and maintains a 5-star customer rating from more than 75 satisfied clients.
“I genuinely enjoy the relationship-building side of the mortgage industry. Taking the time to truly understand my clients allows me to guide them with clarity and confidence through even the most complex financial decisions,” said Collins. “Watching them accomplish their home goals is the most rewarding part of what I do.”
“Cody’s leadership background, customer-first mindset, and proven success in the Dallas market make him a tremendous asset to our growing Texas team,” said Gordy Bright, Senior Vice President, Standard Mortgage. “We’re excited to have him on board as we continue expanding our presence across the region.”
With over 100 years of lending expertise, Standard Mortgage has grown from a single location in New Orleans to become a leading regional lender serving communities across the South. The company combines the strength of a century-old organization with the personal connection of local service, while continuing its longstanding commitment to helping families build and preserve the dream of homeownership.
