From calling Mandeville and the North Shore home to helping her clients purchase and refinance their homes, Standard Mortgage loan Officer Marilyn Wood is here for all of your mortgage needs. Marilyn attended St. Scholastica Academy before attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. While at LSU, Marilyn studied marketing with a concentration in professional sales. Having lived on the North Shore since she was young, an opportunity to return home and work in a field that she is passionate about was an easy decision.
“Working and living in the community that I’ve grown up in has been wonderful. I enjoy getting to help family and friends navigate the home buying process,” says Marilyn. Experiencing that “A-Ha!” Moment with her clients is one of the best parts of Marilyn’s job. “A lot of times a borrower may be nervous during our first conversation, but as we continue to talk through the process and expectations, the switch flips and they start to understand more about the loan they are receiving and the requirements to obtain it,” explains Marilyn.
