MORTGAGE LOAN Officer

Job Description:

  • Responsible for developing new loan business and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Originate Conventional, FHA, VA and Rural Development mortgages.
  • Evaluate loan application, counsel clients on various loan programs and provide guidance on their best options.
  • Collect and analyze consumer’s financial information to determine if the client and the property qualify for a particular loan.
  • Submit completed loan applications to the processing department.
  • Work closely with Processors in managing work flow to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with clients and real estate partners through the entire loan process to ensure a positive experience.
  • Market to real estate partners, builders, developers, and other referral sources to attract new business and build your partner portfolio.
  • Attend and participate in real estate and community functions.
  • Participate in training (in person, live calls, or pre-recorded calls)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of current mortgage origination experience
  • An active NMLS license
  • Must be familiar with current lending regulations
  • Must be organized with effective communication skills
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Ability to work under deadlines and work well with others
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Strong computer and technology related skills
  • Excellent math skills

Educational Requirements:

  • HS Diploma is required
  • BA or BS in a related field (Business, Finance, Accounting, etc.) is preferred.
