MORTGAGE LOAN SHIPPING ASSOCIATE
Seeking an experienced mortgage loan shipping associate. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong organizational and communications skills, work well under pressure and deadlines alongside a highly skilled lending team. This fast paced job position requires monitoring and tracking multiple delivery channels, working closely with management and agency and custodial teams to meet hard stop deadlines.
Mortgage Loan Shipper responsibilities:
- Gather required information from both the LOS (Loan Origination System) and the Servicing system to create form for pool delivery and contract deliveries
- Review investor checklists to compete all document aspects of loan delivery
- Review loan documents for completion and compliance prior to delivery
- Work with other departments, lenders and closing entities to collect and correct document issues
- Work with custodians to ensure deliveries are completed in compliance and timely
- Compile, organize ship and monitor all investor deliveries
- Report to management any outstanding issues immediately and on a scheduled basis
Mortgage Loan Shipper Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma, college degree preferred
- 2 + years mortgage industry experience with purchase, closing or loan delivery
- Knowledge of mortgage loan types – FHA, USDA, VA, conventional, ARM, etc.
- Working knowledge of ULDD requirements
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC and GNMA delivery systems
- Familiarity with both mortgage LOS and Servicing systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general accounting standards
- Excellent communications skills both oral and written
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work closely with management and external investors
