MORTGAGE LOAN CLOSER
Seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan closer to coordinate all phases of loan closings. The Closer’s responsibilities include reviewing loan data, completing missing or correcting erroneous data and reviewing info submitted by the loan officer, processors and underwriter. The Closer will communicate with internal associates, closing agents and all parties involved in the transaction ensuring that all closing documentation is complete, accurate and in compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies.
The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, work well under pressure and deadlines and maintain accurate closing schedules.
Mortgage Closer Responsibilities:
- Review and complete loan data in LOS (Loan Origination System)
- Prepare, review and deliver loan closing packages to closing agents
- Manage and resolve problems or issues that arise with loan documentation
- Act as an intermediary between all parties involved in the loan transaction
- Ensure closing complies with all corporate, state, federal and agency guidelines
- Coordinate loan closing proceeds and ensure disbursed as required
- Maintain accurate closing schedules
Mortgage Closer Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Completion of Mortgage Loan Closing certification program preferred
- 2+ years of mortgage loan closing experience
- Knowledge of different mortgage loan types
- Working knowledge of mortgage industry regulations
- Working knowledge of ULDD requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic accounting principles
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with mortgage LOS (Calyx, Point, EllieMae, PCLender, etc.)
